The Managing director of Kalyani Kidney Care Centre – Dr.M.Prabhakar MS DNB –Urology , started urology practice at Baby Hospital Erode in the year of 2004.

A separate Outpatient department was started in the name of Kalyani Urology Clinic in the year of 2006. Kalyani Urology Clinic was renamed as Kalyani Kidney Care Centre and was functioning in a rented 15 bedded hospital in the year of 2010.

In 2011 a hemodialysis unit with 4 dialysis machines was started in the name of Kalyani Dialysis Centre. In 2012 new building of Kalyani Kidney Care Centre with 100 beds, 16 dialysis machines and 6 ICU beds.

Renal transplant was started in the year of 2013, both live related and Cadaver renal transplant. Kalyani Kidney Care Centre got NABH entry level in 2015(First in India PEH 2015 -001)

National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) is a constituent board of Quality Council of India, set up to establish and operate accreditation programme for healthcare organizations.
